Wild Horse
a performance about (im)patience
Wild Horse
About (not) having time, about (not) taking time.
Are we still allowed to be bored?
Is it still able to just ‘be’? Is there still time for us to reflect?
Are we still willing to make the effort? Does it matter?
What does one discover by just standing still
for a moment?
What if there is room for attention and awareness,
both for yourself and your surroundings?
How (im)patient are you?
This performance is a collaboration
between choreography and spatial design.
A walk designed to offer the chance of escaping for a moment.
Weightless dance challenges both the audience and the performer’s patience.
As visual poetry causes an implosion.
Do you run away as fast as you can or would you rather stay a little while longer?
In Virginia Woolf’s words:
— There’s no denying the wild horse within us.
